Arlene Schultz, age 89, of Calumet City, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dan, and her children: Debbie Plevo, Danette (Bob) Gabe, Dave (Kelly) Schultz, Darla Schultz, and Darcie (Dan) Gresham. Arlene was a devoted grandmother to 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and she held a special place in the hearts of her many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Cora, Clarence, and Dorthy Stahley, as well as her daughter Dalene Schultz.

Arlene had a passion for sewing, bird watching, flower gardening, and camping, but most of all, she loved engaging in water and shaving cream fights. Her family expresses gratitude to God for blessing them with 89 years of Arlene's love, companionship, and friendship as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Friends are invited to celebrate Arlene's life with the family on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at the Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, Illinois, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Associate Pastor Charles Kirkland from Regeneration Church in Hammond, Indiana.
