Village of Evergreen Park President and Board of Trustees met May 19

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

II. ROLL CALL: by the Village Clerk.

III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: by Trustee Kyle.

IV. OPEN PUBLIC FORUM: Members of the audience are invited to participate. Be prepared to state your name and address, for the record, and please limit your comments to a maximum of 3 minutes.

V. TOPICS FOR BOARD DISCUSSION AND ACTION ONLY:

1. Approval of Minutes: May 5, 2025.

2. Approval of Traffic Safety Commission minutes dated May 12, 2025.

3. Board action on Resolution(s) NO. 14-2025.

4. Village Treasurer's Report for FEBRUARY 2025 for information and file.

5. Request Board approval for the following Ordinance(s):

A. ORDINANCE NO. 14-2025, "AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ACQUISITION OF THE REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2701 WEST 95TH STREET, EVERGREEN PARK, ILLINOIS FOR PUBLIC PARKING PURPOSES."

6. Request Board approval - Police Chief Michael D. Saunders requests to order two (2) police vehicles at the cost of $45,019.00 each and one (1) police vehicle at the cost of $44,939.00. The total cost for the three (3) vehicles is $134,977.00.

7. Board action on Applications for Business Regulation Certificates.

8. Request Board approval to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with Illinois Department of Transportation regarding Routine Maintenance of State Roads.

9. Request Board approval to approve the following proclamations:

A. May 18-24, 2025 as "Public Works Week - Ready & Resilient."

B. May 18-24, 2025, as "Emergency Medical Services Week - We Care. For Everyone."

10. Department Heads report(s).

11. Village Engineer's Report.

12. Village Attorney's report.

13. Reports on bid openings, bid lettings and disbursements.

14. Miscellaneous correspondence.

15. Request adjournment.

VI. ADJOURNMENT: The Open Meeting Act provides for public bodies to meet in sessions closed to the public to discuss certain subject matters. No official action can be taken at a closed session; therefore, any decision reached by the Board will be ratified at a subsequent public meeting.

To facilitate closing this building during the continued meetings, we would appreciate your vacating the Council Chambers in a timely fashion.
