Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met May 7

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance.
ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present:
Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis.
Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla.
2025-M-39 APPROVE MINUTES OF APRIL 16, 2025
Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of April 16, 2025. Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0
There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Struzik to approve the 2025 Lyons Township Summer Employment Work Program.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Struzik, and Lewis. NAYES: 0
There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
2025-M-40 APPROVE SUMMER WORK PROGRAM
At this time, the swearing-in of the Village of Bridgeview Trustees took place. A roll call of the newly constituted Board of Trustees was then conducted.
Roll call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Cardenas, and Lewis.
Newly installed Village of Bridgeview Trustees then provided remarks.
2025-M-41 ADJOURN
The Village Board then heard public comments from Bridgeview resident Sadia Nawab regarding the proposed renaming of a Village street.
Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Lewis to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of May 7, 2025.
Upon roll call, the vote was:
AYES: 6- Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Cardenas, and Lewis. NAYES: 0
There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED
The meeting ended at 7:30 p.m.
