Nicholas "Nick" Abbott, born 1979-2025, passed away, leaving behind memories of his generous spirit and infectious humor. Beloved brother to Mary, Don, Maureen Ryan (Jim), Joe (Pam), Bill (Tanya), Val Bauer (Mike), Tony (Debbie), Liz Begley (Wayne), and Marcy Harding (Scott Crooks), Nick was predeceased by his sister Theresa and will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Known for his love of sports, particularly the New Orleans Saints, Oakland A's, and Los Angeles Lakers, as well as his passion for superhero movies, Nick was cherished for his ability to make people laugh and feel valued. The visitation will be on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium in Justice, Illinois, with the funeral service on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. Private cremation rites to follow. Donations to the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation or No Kid Hungry are encouraged in lieu of flowers.
