Laura J. Boersma, nee Reitsema, aged 65, of South Holland, IL, passed away on Friday, June 13, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Dexter Boersma, loving mother of Jennifer Boersma, and proud grandmother of Mylie Boersma. Laura was the daughter of Grace Reitsema and the late John Peter Reitsema, and the sister of Leanne Dotto. She enjoyed reading, coloring, gardening, and spending time with her dogs, Bandit and Smokey. Laura cherished her family and was fond of vacationing with them, including trips to Shipshewana. She will be deeply missed by her family and loved ones. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Smits Funeral Home in Dyer, IN, with the funeral service on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at First OPC in South Holland, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or Be The Match. Funeral arrangements were made under the care of Smits Funeral Home.
