Thomas Dodge | Vandenberg Funeral Home - Tinley Park

Thomas "Tom" R. Dodge, Jr., known for his devout faith, professional skills in civil engineering, and dedication to his family, passed away surrounded by loved ones with whom he built a lifetime of memories.

Born to Thomas Sr. and Beulah Dodge, Tom excelled in the building trades, contributing to significant projects such as the John Hancock Building and Millennium Park structures. In the 1970s, he embraced faith, becoming a cornerstone of Christian Hills Church, serving as a Deacon and Elder, leading construction projects, and founding the Bus Ministry. Tom's commitment to spreading his faith continued through his involvement with All Nations Community Church and Solutions Church, supporting his son's ministry.

He is survived by his wife June, sons Tim and Danny, grandchildren Caitlin, Jeremy, and Daniela, and great-grandchildren Oliver, Tyler, Brodie, and Lainey. Tom's legacy of faith, family, and craftsmanship will endure as a testament to the lives he impacted.Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27, 2025, and a Funeral Service on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Solutions Church in Matteson, IL. Interment will be private at West Peotone Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Vandenberg Funeral Home in Tinley Park.
