Lemont, June 25, 2025 - Madonna "Donna" Jean Czaja, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother known for her devotion to family and faith, passed away on June 25, 2025, in Lemont, Illinois. She was 72 years old.

Donna, born Madonna Jean Libby, grew up in Chicago and pursued a career in information technology at CNA Insurance after completing her bachelor's degree at Saint Xavier University. She also dedicated 11 years as a bookkeeper at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Clarendon Hills and served in the finance office of the Diocese of Joliet after retiring.

A devout Catholic, Donna actively volunteered at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Lemont, serving as a catechist, Eucharistic Minister, and collection counter. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, reading, and spending time with loved ones.

Donna is survived by her husband of 37 years, Robert, her son Thomas, grandson Lucy, granddaughter Janie, siblings, stepchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and godchildren, a host of other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John A. and Adeline Libby.

Visitation and services will be held at Markiewicz Funeral Home, P.C. in Lemont, with a closing prayer service on July 1, 2025. Funeral services will follow at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, with entombment at Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum in Orland Park.

Memorial donations can be made to the National Shrine and Museum of St. Therese or Mercy Home for Boys & Girls.
