HOMEWOOD, June 25, 2025 - Pamela Joan Barlow, known for her devotion to family and lifelong pursuit of education, passed away peacefully at her home in Homewood, IL. Born in 1944 in Chicago to Raymond and Genevieve Stanis, Pamela's life was marked by a passion for learning, nurturing, and culinary creativity.

After earning her BSN from Rush University and pursuing a career in nursing management at Hines V.A. Hospital, Pamela went on to earn a JD from Valparaiso University Law School in 2008. Her dedication to education was matched only by her love for her family, cherishing moments with her children and grandchildren in La Grange.

Pamela's legacy includes her talents as a cook, gardener, and avid reader, embracing French cuisine, bountiful gardens, and enriching literature. Her warmth, smile, and welcoming nature endeared her to all who knew her.

Survived by her siblings and children, Pamela's life will be celebrated at St. John Fisher Church in Chicago on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, a charity close to Pamela's heart.
