Jason said this project allows for a detached garage to remain along with a new side load garage. Recommended by P&Z and discussed at the COW.

V.C A Resolution R-45-25 Approving Award of Contract Parking Garage Improvements Project
Motion by Rick Sniegowski, seconded by Janelle Kittridge, to approve.
The Village owns the garage which needs repairs. Three bids were received with the lowest bid by Berglund Construction Company in the amount of $115K. Repairs include concrete sealer, epoxy crack injection, structural repair of concrete, silicone joint sealer and all appurtenant construction.

Chief Maton is working on an ordinance regarding the electronic scooters and bikes for the council. Mayor asked as a non-home rule community what are the options. Nonhome rule can regulate however in legislation, you will lose your immunities. This means the Village can be libel case by case and will have to litigate. Chief did note communities across the state are abandoning e-scooters completely. Attorney Stillman will have options presented to the board in July. Helmets can not be regulated in the state of IL.
