Dorothea M. Carlson (nee Vander AA), 95, of Merrillville, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, to be with her Lord and Savior.

Those who knew Dorothea are invited to visit with her family on Wednesday, July 23, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Schroeder-Lauer Funeral Home in Lansing, IL. A funeral service honoring her life will commence at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Dorothea will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Walter, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Dorothea's name to the Bible League International, located at 3801 Eagle Nest Dr., Crete, IL 60417.

Quoting Psalm 116:15, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints."
