William (Bill) Schoeneman, 88, passed away on July 11, 2025, shortly after meeting his namesake great-grandson. Born on January 12, 1937, Bill was the beloved husband of Charlotte, father of Paul, Karl, Lisa, and Beth, and cherished grandfather and great-grandfather to a large, loving family.

Raised in Chicago, Bill found joy in simple pleasures, especially spending time with his family and enjoying a sunny day by the pool with a cold beer. Known for his quiet demeanor and sense of humor, he was a dedicated member of the Sheet Metal Worker’s Union Local 73 for over 65 years.

A sports enthusiast, Bill continued playing basketball and softball well into his 60s. He was a dedicated member of Hope Lutheran Church where he instilled values of giving back in his children through "Cans for Christ".

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park, IL. A prayer service will follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Orland Park, with a celebration of life luncheon at Gattos. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Bill's name.
