IdaMae Walsh | Krueger Funeral Home
IdaMae Walsh | Krueger Funeral Home
Born on May 12, 1925, to the late John and Gertrude Roehm in Harvey, IL, IdaMae was predeceased by her devoted husband, Daniel M. Walsh, in 1996, just short of their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by her children, Randy (the late Linda) and Pamela, proud grandmother of Eric (Melissa) and Ryan (Jillian), and adored great-grandmother of Calin, Oliver, Benedict, Siobhan, and Nicholas. IdaMae will be remembered fondly by her numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
IdaMae found solace and delight in nature's splendor, particularly through her love of rose gardening and tending to flower gardens. She treasured her annual escapes to Maui, where the tranquility, sunlight, and walks along the beaches brought her much joy.
A compassionate soul, IdaMae was a committed volunteer at St. Francis Hospital Auxiliary for many years. Her deep faith led her to lifelong membership at St. Philip Lutheran Church in Blue Island, followed by Redeemer Lutheran Church in Oak Forest, where she continued her worship and community service.
The funeral service for IdaMae will be held at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 4955 W. 158th St., Oak Forest, IL on Saturday, August 2nd. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Chicago after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in IdaMae's memory to either Redeemer Lutheran Church or Shiloh Hospice & Palliative Care, LLC in South Holland.
