Tinley Park - Elouise Marilyn Branson, known as Marilyn, passed away at the age of 91 on August 29, 2025. She was born on January 23, 1934, in Claytonville, Illinois to Hayward and Violet. Marilyn, who graduated from Argo High School in 1952, married Dennis Branson on January 31, 1953, and they shared 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2019. Together, they raised their children Dean (Cindy) Branson of Orland Park, Illinois and Cheri (Tim) Carter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Marilyn was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to a loving family.

Marilyn's loves included serving in her church, reading her Bible, painting, and spending time with her family. She leaves behind a legacy of faith and love. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6, at Lawn Funeral Home in Tinley Park. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:45 am, with the service to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to First Church of the Nazarene in Lemont, Illinois. A private burial will take place at a later date.
