Commissioner Sean Morrison commented on social media regarding reactions to the assassination of Charlie Kirk. In a series of posts dated September 10 and 11, 2025, Morrison addressed both public sentiment and media coverage following Kirk's death.

On September 10, Morrison wrote, "How low humanity has fallen.

It is a sad revealing of the left’s views that so many social media posts about Charlie Kirk’s assassination are filled with hate and seething anger, rather than respect for life or compassion for his family.

Charlie Kirk was hated by the left not".

Later that day, he posted a statement expanding on his perspective: "STATEMENT: The left hated Charlie Kirk not because he was hateful, but because he spoke the truth with clarity and conviction. He relied on common sense, facts, and his Christian faith to expose the falsehoods of ideology. He never attacked personally, but his words cut through https://t.co/CW3IZlOprY".

On September 11, Morrison criticized news coverage in another post: "The media elite are the worst! https://t.co/5yiWVXZuKR".

Morrison is a Cook County Commissioner in Illinois who has been active in local government and public commentary. Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist and founder of Turning Point USA. His assassination prompted widespread reaction across political lines on social media platforms.
