Jeanne A. Pope, 85, Fondly Remembered for her Love of Family and Pets

Jeanne Ann Pope passed away on September 10, 2025, in Bourbonnais, Illinois, due to the effects of Alzheimer's disease. Born on August 6, 1940, she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her family and pets. Jeanne cherished her pets Boots, Max, Rambo, Brooks, Toby, and Sundance. She had a passion for music, with a special love for Al Green and Toby Keith. Jeanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and took pride in her participation in the pool league she and her husband founded. She retired from Hytest Safety Shoes in 2013 after 15 years of service.

Preceded in death by her parents, Julius Siekman and Margaret Daley, husband William Franklin Pope, daughter Dora Walker, sister Marjorie Conway, brother Tom Siekman, sister Janet Calibraro, and her cherished pets, Jeanne is survived by her sons Daniel Pope, John Hughes, son-in-law Dave Walker, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home in Homewood, Illinois, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Tews-Ryan Funeral Home, followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery in Alsip, IL.
