Jim, aged 81, passed away surrounded by family on September 10, 2025. An enthusiastic golfer and sports lover, he was known for his talent in connecting with others and his love for dogs. Jim's charisma and storytelling will be cherished by those who knew him. Survived by his wife Marge, children Jim, Mike, Susan Helsdingen, and grandchildren Mia, Henry, Erin, Cameryn, and Finn. Jim, a Vietnam Veteran, will be remembered fondly by many. Visitation will be on Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Curley Funeral Home in Chicago Ridge. The funeral is set for Monday at St. Julie Billiart Church in Tinley Park at 10:00 a.m., with interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations in his honor can be made to Mercy Home.
