City of Calumet Committee of the Whole met Aug. 25

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

CALL TO ORDER The Committee of the Whole meeting was called to order at 6:12 p.m. by Mayor Pro Tem Ramonde D. Williams.

ROLL CALL

PRESENT 7 ALDERMEN: Harvey, Wilson, Tillman, Williams, Gardner, Nelson, Phillips.

ABSENT: 0 ALDERMEN: NONE

Also present were: City Clerk Dr. Figgs, City Treasurer Tarka, Deputy Clerk I Jessica Coffee and Deputy Clerk II Quentin Dailey.

PUBLIC COMMENT None

Review and Discussion Of August 28, 2025 Agenda

The council could not review and discuss August 28, 2025 agenda  due to the document not being available for the meeting.

Alderwoman Wilson Comments

Alderwoman Wilson requested the council deviate from the regular order of business to enter into executive session to discuss employee matters.

Treasurer Tarka Comments

City Treasurer Tarka responded that executive session doesn't appear on tonight's agenda.

Alderman Williams announced that executive session is not on the agenda but executive session does appear on the Wednesday August 27, 2025, agenda. Alderman Williams also mentioned there was not an Attorney present.

Alderwoman Wilson Comments Regarding Municode

Alderwoman Wilson stated that she does not have access to Municode and she has emailed the entire council regarding this matter.

Alderwoman Wilson would like to Residential Parking signs to be placed On the August 28, 2025, Regular City Council Meeting Agenda she will send the addresses by email.

Discussion and Review of Grant And CED Events

Mayor Pro Temp Ramonde Williams asked the council if anyone had a from Community Economic Development.

There was no report given for Community Economic Development.

Adjournment Alderwoman Harvey moved to adjourn, seconded by Alderwoman Phillips at 6:12 p.m.
