Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Sept. 3

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 7:00 p.m., on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present: Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Chief Mancha, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla.

APPROVE MINUTES OF AUGUST 20, 2025

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the minutes of the regularly scheduled Board Meeting of August 20, 2025. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-75 

APPROVE APPOINTMENT

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve the appointment of Daniel Gallagher as a part-time police officer. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-76 APPROVE AGREEMENT 

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve the RFP Committee's recommendation to approve the agreement between Midwest Public Safety, LLC (MPS) and the Village of Bridgeview regarding the purchase of body worn cameras and related equipment for the Bridgeview Police Department. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-77 

APPROVE SPECIAL USE PERMIT 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the consideration of action on recommendation of the Zoning, Planning and Development Commission to grant a special use permit to operate an auto repair business upon property located at 8508 S. 77th Ave. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-78 

APPROVE SPECIAL USE PERMIT 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Cardenas to approve the consideration of/action on recommendation of the Zoning, Planning and Development Commission to grant a special use permit to operate an auto repair business upon property located at 8318 S. 77th Ave. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-79 APPROVE 

CATERPILLAR 

LOADER PURCHASE 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Baste to approve the purchase of a caterpillar "CAT" loader for the Village of Bridgeview Department of Public Works. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2025-M-80 

ADJOURN 

At this time, Police Chief Mancha discussed a grant review for license plate readers. 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Baste to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of September 3, 2025. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 - Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

The meeting ended at 7:15 p.m.
