Ty Rodgers, a former Thornton Township High School star now playing for the Illinois Fighting Illini, is set to take part in the NCAA Tournament.

Illinois is ranked as the No. 3 seed and will match up with the No. 14 seed Penn Quakers in its opening round.

The opening game is scheduled for Thursday, March 19, at 8:25 p.m. at Bon Secours Wellness Arena.
