Village of Bridgeview Board of Trustees met Feb. 18

Here are the minutes provided by the board:

CALL TO ORDER The Regular Meeting of the Village Board of the Village of Bridgeview was called to order by Mayor Landek at 12:00 p.m., on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. 

PLEDGE Mayor Landek led the Pledge of Allegiance. 

ROLL CALL Roll Call indicated the following Trustees present:  Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas. 

Also Present: Mayor Landek, Clerk Altar, Attorney Cainkar, Police Sergeant Brown, Fire Chief Grzadziel, and Human Resources Director Pannaralla. 

2026-M-16 APPROVE MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 4, 2026

Motion by Trustee Pinion and seconded by Trustee Cardenas to approve the minutes of the regular Board Meeting of February 4, 2026.

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2026-M-17 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 26-04

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Cardenas to approve Ordinance No. 26-04; an ordinance approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Bedford Park, Cook County, Illinois and the Village of Bridgeview, Cook County, Illinois, for the sale of a 2000 Pierce Dash Pumper.

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2026-M-18 APPROVE BILLS PAYABLE 

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the bills payable as of February 18, 2026. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2026-M-19 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 26-03

Motion by Trustee Higginson and seconded by Trustee Cardenas to approve Ordinance No. 26-04; an ordinance approving an intergovernmental agreement between the Village of Bedford Park, Cook County, Illinois and the Village of Bridgeview, Cook County, Illinois, for the sale of a 2000 Pierce Dash Pumper.

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2026-M-20 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 26-02

Motion by Trustee Pticek and seconded by Trustee Pinion to approve Ordinance No. 26-03; an ordinance of the Village of Bridgeview approving a master lease purchase agreement dated as of July 16, 2014, Schedule No. 07, dated as of January 15, 2026, with Tax-Exempt Leasing Corp. for the lease purchase of a Chevrolet Tahoe 4WD truck with equipment. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Higginson to approve Ordinance No. 26-02; an ordinance establishing requirements for the separation of domestic water and fire service lines for commercial, industrial and multi- family properties within the Village of Bridgeview, Illinois. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED

2026-M-21 APPROVE RECOMMENDATION

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve the consideration of/action on recommendation of the Zoning, Planning and Development Commission to enact an ordinance granting the application of Christian Bafia/Zenki’s Inc. for special use permit to operate an auto repair business (automotive tint and vinyl wrap) upon property located at 7544 W. 99th Place. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2026-M-22 APPROVE ORDINANCE NO. 26-05 

Motion by Trustee Baste and seconded by Trustee Lewis to approve Ordinance No. 26-05; an ordinance amending Chapter 11, Intoxicating Liquors, by adding Section 11-1-22, hemp beverages, of the Municipal Code of Bridgeview. Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to approve Resolution No. 26-R-02; a resolution of the Village of Bridgeview designating 

2026-M-23 APPROVE RESOLUTION NO. 26-R-02

the Chicago Southland Convention and Visitors Bureau to market and promote tourism. 

Upon roll call, the vote was: 

AYES: 6 – Trustees Higginson, Pticek, Pinion, Baste, Lewis, and Cardenas.

NAYES: 0 

There being six affirmative votes, the MOTION CARRIED 

2026-M-24 ADJOURN 

Motion by Trustee Lewis and seconded by Trustee Pticek to adjourn the regular Board Meeting of February 18, 2026.
