Village of Evergreen Park President and Board of Trustees met March 16

Here is the agenda provided by the board:

I. CALL TO ORDER: by Mayor Burke at 6:30 P.M.

II. ROLL CALL: by the Village Clerk.

III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Trustee Kyle.

IV. EPPD PROMOTION: Request Board approval from Police Chief Saunders for the following:

A. To consider the authorization of one (1) vacancy for the position of Sergeant for the Village of Evergreen Park Police Department.

B. To promote Tactical Officer Benjamin Vos to the position of Sergeant.

V. OPEN PUBLIC FORUM: Members of the audience are invited to participate. Be prepared to state your name and address, for the record, and please limit your comments to a maximum of 3 minutes.

VI. TOPICS FOR BOARD DISCUSSION AND ACTION ONLY:

1. Approval of Minutes: March 2, 2026.

2. Board action on Resolution NO. 10-2026.

3. Village Treasurer’s Report for FEBRUARY 2026 for information and file.

4. Board action on Applications for Business Regulation Certificates.

5. Board Action on the following Ordinance(s):

A. ORDINANCE NO. 4-2026 “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 1, IN GENERAL, OF CHAPTER 3, ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR, OF THE EVERGREEN PARK MUNICIPAL CODE, BY ADDING SECTION 3-6, HEMP BEVERAGES.”

6. Request Board approval for the following Resolution(s): A. RESOLUTION NO. 1-2026 “A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNUAL INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE ON FRIDAY, JUNE 26, 2026.”

B. RESOLUTION NO. 2-2026 “A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF EVERGREEN PARK APPROVING A GRANT APPLICATION FOR THE 2026 COOK COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM.”

C. RESOLUTION NO. 3-2026 “A RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE VILLAGE OF EVERGREEN PARK AND THE STATE OF ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION REGARDING MAINTENANCE OF PROPERTY ON STATE HIGHWAYS FOR THE YEARS 2026 AND 2027.”

7. Request Board approval for the following proclamation:

A. To proclaim Saturday, April 18, 2026 “Record Store Day”.

8. Village Engineer’s report.

9. Village Attorney’s report.

10. Reports on bid openings, bid lettings & approved disbursements.

11. Miscellaneous correspondence.

12. Request adjournment.

VII. ADJOURNMENT: The Open Meeting Act provides for public bodies to meet in sessions closed to the public to discuss certain subject matters. No official action can be taken at a closed session; therefore, any decision reached by the Board will be ratified at a subsequent public meeting.
