Chicago – Willie W. Lightfoot, Jr., aged 88 and a US Air Force Veteran, passed away, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. He was the beloved husband of Mary Lightfoot, a devoted father to Lonnie, Linda, Carl, Donna, and Debra, and a proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 8. Willie was the cherished son of the late Willie W. Sr. and Naomi Lightfoot.
He was a loving brother to Ruby Gordon and the late Altha Wilson, Mae Willa Craighead, and Elaine Williams. Willie will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A visitation will be held at Maple Park United Methodist Church on Monday, followed by a funeral service.
The interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Willie will be remembered for his commitment to his family and his service in the Air Force. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him during this time of mourning.
