Unpaid fines for Calumet City-based campaign committees totaled $11,225 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Calumet City collectively owe a total of $11,225 in overdue fees, records obtained by the South Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Calumet City were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Calumet City-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens for Collins, which owes a total of $6,225.

The largest fine that Citizens for Collins has yet to pay was imposed on Sept. 11, 2013, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $1,500.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Calumet City owing unpaid fines in January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
