Unpaid fines for Chicago Heights-based campaign committees totaled $10,600 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Chicago Heights collectively owe a total of $10,600 in overdue fees, records obtained by the South Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that three committees in Chicago Heights were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Chicago Heights-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Friends of Wendell Mosby, which owes a total of $7,775.

The largest fine that Friends of Wendell Mosby has yet to pay was imposed on Sept. 2, 2016, for a late quarterly report. The amount of this fine alone is $5,000.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Chicago Heights owing unpaid fines in January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
