Unpaid fines for Homewood-based campaign committees totaled $5,300 in January 2017

Campaign committees in Homewood collectively owe a total of $5,300 in overdue fees, records obtained by the South Cook News show.

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that two committees in Homewood were delinquent in payment for January 2017.

The Homewood-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens to Elect Glenn Tienstra, which owes a total of $5,000.

The fine that Citizens to Elect Glenn Tienstra has yet to pay was imposed on May 25, 2012, for violation of board order.

The following table lists all campaign committees in Homewood owing unpaid fines in January 2017, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections:
