The calls in Lansing included 165 fires - 120 structure fires, 25 vehicle fires and 17 other fires. The fire department also responded to three calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $50,500,858 in fire loss - or about $306,066 per fire.
The department also received 324 false calls, including one malicious call and 323 other false calls.
14 fire service member were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Lansing Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 26 active employees and 19 retired or inactive employees, was $1,062,339 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $6,438 for every fire in 2016.
