The calls in Lemont included 69 fires - 25 structure fires, 12 vehicle fires and 28 other fires. The fire department also responded to four calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $50,226,500 in fire loss - or about $727,920 per fire.
The department also received 556 false calls, including six malicious calls and 550 other false calls.
Two fire service members were injured in fire-related incidents and eight were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Lemont FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 54 active employees and 15 retired or inactive employees, was $151,183 in debt as of December 2015, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $2,191 for every fire in 2016.
