The calls in Riverdale included 95 fires - 63 structure fires, seven vehicle fires and 23 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.
In all, the department saw $191,960 in fire loss - or about $2,021 per fire.
The department also received 184 false calls, including 21 malicious calls and 163 other false calls.
The calls resulted in one civilian fire-related injury. Additionally, one fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents and two were injured in non fire-related incidents.
The Riverdale Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has 18 active employees and 10 retired or inactive employees, was $405,073 in debt as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $4,264 for every fire in 2016.
