Campaign spending: Lipinski raised $3.3 million ahead of primary victory

U.S. Rep. Dan Lipinski raised $73 per vote cast for him in the 3rd Congressional District Democratic primary race last month, according to the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform.

In all, the contentious primary raised $6.3 million, with fundraising dominated by the incumbent.

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform analyzed how much candidates in the most contested state races raised per vote they received in the Illinois Primary on March 20. The analysis is based on contributions disclosures between Jan. 1, 2017, and March 20.
