Analysis: Calumet Park pays $5.22 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Calumet Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 83.9 percent of the $793,005 the Calumet Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $5.22 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Calumet Park contributed $665,596 to the fund, which saw a $134,550 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $127,409, or 16.1 percent, in 2016.
