Analysis: Dolton pays $2.42 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Dolton Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.2 percent of the $1,106,957 the Dolton Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.42 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Dolton contributed $787,728 to the fund, which saw a $78,803 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $325,100, or 29.4 percent, in 2016.
