Analysis: Midlothian pays $1.23 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Midlothian Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 55.4 percent of the $450,351 the Midlothian Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $1.23 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Midlothian contributed $249,587 to the fund, which saw a $253,748 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $201,370, or 44.7 percent, in 2016.
