Analysis: Olympia Fields pays $4.69 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Olympia Fields Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 82.4 percent of the $922,409 the Olympia Fields Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4.69 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Olympia Fields contributed $759,609 to the fund, which saw a $136,897 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $161,874, or 17.5 percent, in 2016. Another $926 came from other unspecified sources.
