Analysis: Richton Park pays $2.85 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Richton Park Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 74.3 percent of the $796,249 the Richton Park Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.85 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Richton Park contributed $591,377 to the fund, which saw a $37,572 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $207,031, or 26 percent, in 2016.
