Analysis: Worth pays $4 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Worth Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 79.9 percent of the $1,003,717 the Worth Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $4 for every $1 from pension members, according to a South Cook News analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Worth contributed $802,434 to the fund, which saw a $34,303 decrease in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $200,578, or 20 percent, in 2016. Another $705 came from other unspecified sources.
