Report: Sandridge spent $12,377 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Sandridge School District 172 is up 3 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $11,980 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,377 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 411 to 362.

Sandridge's spending in 2016-17 was 5 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
