Report: South Holland spent $12,869 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at South Holland School District 151 is up 19 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $10,834 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,869 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1506 to 1587.

South Holland's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
