Alsip Fire Stationation 1 responded to 465 calls in 2017 - 6.4 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Alsip 1 included 72 fires - 31 structure fires, 22 vehicle fires and 19 other fires. The fire department also responded to two calls for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $906,210 in fire loss - or about $12,586 per fire.

The department also received 391 false calls, including one malicious call and 390 other false calls.

One fire service member was injured in fire-related incidents.
