South Suburban College enrolls 3,921 undergrads

At South Suburban College, 69 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 65 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The two-year public institution in South Holland enrolled 3,921 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 16.7 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

92 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 8 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (54 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (22 percent).
