Advocate Christ Medical Center issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.
Bring the whole family and listen to a live DJ, participate in fun activities, take a tour of the facility and enjoy ‘Pink’ snacks and refreshments. Health screenings for blood pressure, pulse oximetry, body mass index, and body fat will be offered. Women who bring a physician order for a mammogram can make an appointment on-site and be entered to win a prize. There will be plenty of door prizes and raffles including a mini Tesla, Rogers & Hollands jewelry, and a bean bag toss set.
Informational tables will be on-site to educate the community on Gilda’s Club, American Cancer Society, Best Fit Mastectomy products, genetics, lymphedema, nutrition, 3D Tomosynthesis and Mammography.

Oak Lawn Professional Firefighters Local 3405 is holding a Breast Cancer Awareness T-shirt Sale Fundraiser with 100 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Advocate Christ Center for Breast Care. There will be a limited supply of T-shirts available for purchase at the event.
