Little Company of Mary's Hospital issued the following announcement on Sept. 27.
On Monday, October 1st, Little Company of Mary’s fellowship-trained breast surgeon – Dr. Jilma Patrick – will host a Facebook Live event at the Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers Facebook page to kick-off breast cancer awareness month.
Dr. Patrick attended Medical School at Meharry Medical College, followed by a Residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville and completed her Fellowship Training at Northwestern University Breast Surgical Oncology,
Community members will have the opportunity to meet Dr. Patrick and learn about breast cancer risk factors and the importance of screenings and early detection. A “Q & A” Session with Dr. Patrick will follow.
The Facebook Live event will take place at 5:30 p.m. on October 1st.
