SOUTH SUBURBAN COLLEGE: South Suburban College December 2018 Music Performances

South Suburban College issued the following announcement on Nov. 21.

Please note: This calendar is correct at the time of publication and is subject to change. All events are held in the Kindig Performing Arts Center (PAC) on South Suburban College’s Main Campus and admission is FREE for these events (donations are appreciated to benefit the Music Scholarship Fund). December 3, 2018 – 7:00 p.m.

Orchestra & Chamber String Ensemble Concert

The SSC Chamber String Ensemble and the SSC Orchestra will return to perform the second concert in the Fall semester. Join the SSC Orchestra, under the direction of Professor Phil Bauman, as they present classical favorite and seasonal selections sure to warm your hearts. Music from around the world representing various nationalities will be presented. Don’t be surprised if you are encouraged to lend your voice to concert!

December 4, 2018 – 2:00 p.m.

Student Recital

The Student Recital will feature our applied music students singing and playing musical works from the Baroque period to the twenty-first century.

December 5, 2018 – 7:00 p.m.

Jazz Orchestra Concert

The SSC Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Professor Sam Hankins, will be performing our winter concert.

December 7, 2018 – 7:00 p.m.

Holiday Concert

Join our annual holiday concert featuring the SSC Symphonic Band, SSC Orchestra, SSC Voices, and PAC Rats Theatre Company.
