Report: Sandridge spent $12,006 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Sandridge School District 172 is down 2.8 percent from five years ago, according to a South Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $12,347 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $12,006 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 402 to 361.

Sandridge's spending in 2017-18 was 10 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
