Unpaid fines for Calumet City-based campaign committees totaled $32,182 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Calumet City collectively owe a total of $32,182 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that seven committees in Calumet City were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Calumet City-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens for Michael Navarrete, which owes a total of $10,000.

The total that Citizens for Michael Navarrete still owes comes from two fines of $5,000, both for a late quarterly report.
