Unpaid fines for Harvey-based campaign committees totaled $31,075 in August 2018

Campaign committees in Harvey collectively owe a total of $31,075 in fines, according to records obtained from the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE).

A detailed review of individual fines revealed that four committees in Harvey were delinquent in payment for August 2018.

The Harvey-based committee with the largest total in unpaid fines was Citizens for a Better Southland, Charles Givines, which owes a total of $12,600.

The committee has been fined for a late quarterly report and a late A-1 report.
