The campaign committee of judge (Circuit Court/cook County) candidate George Canellis Jr., Citizens to Elect George Louis Canellis Jr. for Judge, returned a $5,300 contribution from Laurie Kladis on Oct. 10, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Kladis has not made any other contributions to George Canellis Jr. in the past 12 months.
