Hometown home prices rise in April 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in April 2017 in Hometown rose by $48,000 while total sales increased by 200%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In April 2017, there were six homes sold, with a median sale price of $109,250 - a 78.4% increase over the $61,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Hometown in April 2016.

The median sales tax in Hometown for 2017 was $3,016. In 2016, the median sales tax was $2,980. This marks an increase of 1.2%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
