2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Tinley Park?

There were 22 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Tinley Park zip codes, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by South Cook News.

The data shows that 21 men and one woman were released in Tinley Park. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age is 35. The youngest parolee was a 20-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 68-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2013.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Robert C. Caputo. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2013 when he was 62 years old. He is now 68.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
