Q4 2018 Recap: Parolees in Glenwood convicted of crimes involving weapons

There were two offenders convicted of crimes involving weapons released on parole in Glenwood during the fourth quarter, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the South Cook News.

The data shows that both of the released offenders in Glenwood were men. The younger parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced in 2014. The other was a 25-year-old man sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Alvin Lockett. He was convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2014 when he was 17 years old. He is now 22.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders in Q4 2018 who were convicted of crimes involving weapons.
