City of Country Club Hills City Council met Oct. 21.
Here is the minutes provided by the council:
1. A special meeting of the City Council, City of Country Club Hills, County of Cook, State of Illinois, was held in the City Hall, 4200 W. 183Street at 7:10p.m. The meeting was called to order by the honorable James W. Ford, Mayor.
2. THOSE ON ROLL CALL ANSWERED PRESENT WERE:
Aldermen Lockett, Davis, Glispie, Evans and Spivey constituting a quorum of the City Council. None were excused as absent.
3. Alderman Lockett moved for approval of a Resolution Affirming the Support of the City of Country Club Hills for the application of the Spreads Group and Affiliated Entities of r the South Suburban Casino License Authorized by Public Act 101-31.
Second - Alderwoman Evans
Discussion: There was ongoing discussions regarding other south suburban municipal renderings per local newspaper articles along with the proposal from Country Club Hills.

0 NAYES
0 ABSTAINS
0 ABSENT
Motion Carried via Voice Vote and Hereby Made a part of the Original of Proceedings this date.
4. Public Portion of Meeting
Alderman Lockett moved to open the floor to the public.
Second – Alderman Davis. Motion carried via Voice Vote.
Leora Bell, Country Club Hills resident and would like more information about the Spreads group. Mayor Ford shared the information is on the website and he had no further information as this time.
Jennie Betton, Country Club Hills resident was concerned about the $250,000.00 application fee required. Mayor Ford clarified the fee will be paid by the interested part and not by the City of Country Club Hills.
Alderman Lockett moved to close the floor to the public.
Second - Alderman Davis. Motion carried via Voice Vote.
5. Adjournment
A Motion to adjourn was made by Alderman Lockett. Second - Alderman Davis.
Motion Carried Via Voice Vote.
Meeting adjourned at 7:19 p.m.
